FWIW, I can’t get MS server to work on our PC, even to access files using Safari. I used the FE app for iPad as the server and set up the R4 as client. I set up my R4 to send RAW files to my iPad.
#Filezilla mac m1 update
? Or, did you update to the latest Remote App in the A7R2? That's what most of the ! symbols on this chart are about. Maybe full Imaging Edge is less functional. I transferred images just fine from my A7R2 to Imaging Edge Mobile. What values to enter for Host, Username, Password, Port? I'll have my laptop connected to an Apple Airport Express, to which my printers will also be connected, as a wifi access point with no internet connection. Jeez.Ĭan you help me set up FZ Pro on my laptop? I know zero about FTP setup and find the process utterly cryptic. Even their online manual for the a7RIII, which you'd expect to be up-to-date, still insists we download PlayMemories Home. Panasonic has made the easy for me over the past 8 years. It just runs quietly in the background waiting for connections. On your Mac, you can use Filezilla as an ftp server - it's free and very low resource. And you can set it to automatically upload pictures in the background even when you're still using the camera - when you take a picture it just silently, automatically uploads the pic over wifi, no intervention required, and you can choose to upload jpg, raw or both. If the A7Riii works the same as the A7iii, you can setup multiple FTP servers on the camera and the paths on the ftp server that you want to transfer to. If you just want to transfer photos over wifi (as opposed to tethering), you can use the FTP function which works much better anyway. I don't know if Imaging Edge will do wifi transfer on a mac for the A7Riii - it didn't for the A7Rii even though Play Memories did. Good thing I haven't sold off my MFT kit.Īnd no, I do NOT want to use a USB tether cable at an event venue with hundreds of folks wandering around with drinks in their hands. Do you know of a way to do this with an a7RIII? I have a job coming up in two days. I've been working this way with Panasonic MFT cameras for 8 years. I want to shoot portraits at an event, have the small JPEGs transferred via a wifi access point to my MBA, have LRC import them from a watched folder, and then send my selected images to a printer connected to the same wifi access point.
#Filezilla mac m1 install
The a7RIII manual says you have to install PlayMemories Home on your Mac, but it appears that there is no version of PMH that's compatible with an M1 Mac. I'm trying for the first time to send photos from my a7RIII to my M1 MacBook Air via wifi, and I can't find a way to do it.
